Camp Haccamo

Camp Haccamo has been providing a free and fun summer camping experience (many say a life-changing experience) for children and young adults since 1956. The camp is unique in western New York for the level of service it provides. All individuals with mental, physical, emotional, and behavioral disabilities are supported. The camp is a two-week residential, overnight summer camp with a ratio of one counselor per two campers. The first week is for children ages 7 - 17; the second week is for young adults ages 18 - 30. The second week for young adults is the only residential camp in the region that serves people in this age group which fills an important community need for campers that have aged out of youth camps. Our campers enjoy a variety of activities, such as swimming, arts and crafts, music, sports, and nature exploration. There are special events like the Carnival Nights, Talent Show, and Prom. They make lasting friendships, learn new skills, and gain confidence and independence. Camp Haccamo provides a much-needed respite for caregivers and camper families, and future career development opportunities for those staff members working in health services. Camp Haccamo is made possible by the generous support of our Monroe County Rotary Clubs, as well as individuals, businesses, and foundations who believe in our mission. We are proud to offer camp at no cost to our families because we believe that every child deserves a chance to enjoy the benefits of camping regardless of their financial situation. Please consider a donation to Camp Haccamo today. Any amount you can give will help us provide a safe, comfortable, and enriching environment for our campers. Thank you in advance for supporting Camp Haccamo and our community!
