TBF: Greater Rochester Teen Book Festival

The Greater Rochester Teen Book Festival (TBF) has celebrated teens within our literary communities since its founding in 2006. The festival and related events encourage teens—as well as parents, teachers, and librarians—to read some of the best titles aimed at young adults, and provides a place for readers to interact with award-winning authors. Our goal is to keep TBF free so cost is never a barrier between teens and authors, and our mission is to foster a community effort that celebrates and promotes reading. Like many locally focused non-profit organizations, we’ve worked hard to continue offering programming consistent with our values and mission during COVID-19 and social distancing. In 2022, we returned to an in-person event for the first time in 3 years. Partnering with Frontier Field, over 400 teens attended our festival, which featured 14 authors who write for teens. 40 teens volunteered at the event. TBF events are free because of generous donations, local sponsorship, and our community partners—like you. Our goal is to give teens a safe and fun place to connect not just with authors, but with each other. We’ve reached tens of thousands of young readers. With your help, we can reach even more.
