Endless Highway, Inc.

Endless Highway, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to expanding opportunities for children and adults with physical disabilities to participate in inclusive sports, arts, and recreation. Often challenged by increased medical expenses, inaccessible community environments, high out-of-pocket costs for the equipment necessary to participate in adaptive programs, and social isolation, people with disabilities and their families face many barriers to getting involved in sports, extracurriculars, and social activities. Endless Highway collaborates with community partners, families, and donors to help children and adults with physical disabilities pursue their interests and achieve their recreational or creative goals. Since 2011, we have provided access to competitive sports, inclusive recreation, and accessible arts experiences for individuals across the Greater Rochester region, as well as Buffalo, Syracuse, and beyond. We expand access and involvement by sponsoring adaptive equipment; funding sports teams, workshops, and participant registration costs; developing inclusive programs and initiatives; and providing free accessibility and inclusion consultation to community institutions. Through Endless Highway, children and adults with physical disabilities receive fully sponsored and custom-fitted racing wheelchairs, adaptive bicycles, everyday and travel performance wheelchairs, and training equipment. Students can join after-school programs where they play wheelchair basketball or star in dance and theatre performances alongside others with and without disabilities. Local athletes are able to receive travel sponsorship to represent Rochester at national adaptive sports competitions. Families are encouraged to apply for confidential grants to cover financial stress or receive sponsored laptops to improve virtual access to opportunities within their household. And neighbors of all ages and abilities can make memories together on a fully inclusive and wheelchair accessible playground at Basil Marella Park. Our range of services are vast and ever-growing, and our strength lies in community collaborations that build inroads to long-lasting inclusivity. Endless Highway’s vision is to help Rochester elevate as an inclusive community that values and serves individuals with diverse abilities. We’re working everyday to cultivate partnerships and offer programs to ensure that the goals of locals with disabilities — and the needs of their families — are met with barrier-free resources, opportunities, and inclusion.
