Friends & Foundation of the Rochester Public Library

Friends & Foundation of the Rochester Public Library (FFRPL) raises funds, presents programs, supports special projects, helps to create specialized spaces, and purchases supplemental materials and equipment for the Rochester Public Library and libraries within the region. For ROC the Day 2023, all contributions to FFRPL will support upgrades for Central Library’s Kate Gleason Auditorium (KGA) Thanks to the community’s generosity last year, FFRPL was able to purchase new, accessible, and comfortable chairs for KGA, Central’s most used event space. Now, to complete the project, we are seeking your support to fund new, multi-functional tables, and room finishes. Thousands of people use KGA year-round for educational, entertainment and social programs, including: Book reviews; awards ceremonies; author talks and readings; movies; lectures; seminars; celebrations; classes; meetings; youth showcases; receptions; concerts and other performances; training sessions, and more! Our goal is $25,000 for supplemental furniture and finishes not covered by the City of Rochester or Monroe County budgets. Please give today and thank you!

We focus on: Education, Community Benefit and Economic Development

Where we are: Monroe

We have a matching grant!
