Genesee Country Village & Museum in Mumford is a fun, unique living history experience for people of all ages.
Money donated through ROCtheDay will support the museum’s interpretive staff, who bring history alive for each and every one of our visitors! Enter into one of our homes or businesses and you are greeted by an authentically-costumed and highly-trained interpreter who will take you back to the 19th century. Listen to the stories that they share and let your imagination go and think about how different your life would have been in the 19th-century – what would you have eaten, what would you wear, how would you get from place to place, how would you communicate, how would you contribute to your community? Answers to those questions and many others come alive through the stories and characters shared by GCV&M’s remarkable interpreters. Your contribution ensures that these stories continue to be told and our collective history is preserved by providing training and support to our almost 100 paid interpretive staff members.
