Genesee Valley Audubon Society

Genesee Valley Audubon Society seeks to reach out to Monroe, Wayne, and Orleans Countys and the surrounding areas to make the public aware of our environment and how it affects all of our lives. We help people identify birds, whether it is at their backyard feeder or on a hike through an area park. This past year we worked with city recreation centers to bring a diverse group of urban youth to Braddock Bay park. While there we educated the children to the benefits of wetlands. We teach people the wonder of our fine feathered friends and the other wildlife that co-exist with them at informational meetings. Genesee Valley Audubon Society advocates for the environment with city, town and state officials on various issues affecting habitats in our area. We support efforts to protect and restore the Great Lakes and the shore of Lake Ontario. Genesee Valley Audubon Society welcomes your donations to help continue with our efforts on educating the public and advocating for Monroe County and surrounding areas on environmental conservation.
