Cancer Support Community at Gilda's Club

You may have known us as Gilda's Club but recently we changed our name to Cancer Support Community at Gilda's Club to better reflect the broad scope of programs and services we offer to all individuals - men and women of all ages - who have been impacted by cancer. The mission of Cancer Support Community at Gilda's Club uplifts and strengthens people impacted by cancer by providing support, fostering compassionate communities, and breaking down barriers to care. We are a place where people who have been impacted by cancer can find support, friendship, and important resources in our community. Our commitment is to creating a welcoming environment for those living with cancer – adults, teens, and children – along with their families and friends. Our innovative program is an essential complement to medical care, providing networking and support groups, workshops, education, and social activities...all at no cost to participants. Community Is Stronger Than Cancer. Our diverse programs ensure no one faces cancer alone by connecting members with others and sharing activities with others facing similar experiences. We offer more than 1,000 program sessions and serve more than 5,000 people each year with programs that aim to restore, support, and teach, from health and wellness to healing arts, social, educational, and youth classes. Our support groups are cancer-type specific as well as general support for the individual diagnosed, family, friends, and caregivers.
