Mercy Flight Central

2023 marks 31+ years of service to the residents in the Finger Lakes and Central New York regions for Mercy Flight Central ("MFC"). Our commitment is to make available a critical care emergency air medical system that provides timely transports with a higher level of care in a safe, professional, and compassionate environment. MFC has bases in Canandaigua, Marcellus and Rome New York. We have 4 medically equipped aircraft that include trained pilots, registered nurses and paramedics. We operate 24/7/365. During the past 31 years Mercy Flight Central has cared for more than 17,000 patients. MFC continues to shoulder the growing financial impact of caring for all in need of our services regardless of ability to pay. Each year MFC writes off more than $2 million in transports not covered. One-fourth of our annual operating budget needs to be raised from fundraising to help close this gap. Fundraising plays an essential role in our ability to provide critical care life-saving services throughout the region.
