Nativity Preparatory Academy of Rochester

Nativity Preparatory Academy of Rochester ("Nativity") is a Catholic middle school dedicated to educational equity that transforms the lives of underserved students through strong academics coupled with a sense of spirituality, morality, and personal responsibility. We deliver a uniquely effective education through small classes, an extended school day, a summer educational support and enrichment program, dedicated and caring teachers, personal tutoring and mentoring, and continuing graduate support through high school—all within a secure and nurturing environment that encourages personal development.   With a proven 97% high school graduation rate and 79% 2- or 4-year college graduation rate, Nativity is uniquely positioned to deliver a high-quality education with equity to underserved students from the City of Rochester. When a student enrolls in 5th grade at Nativity, they are typically 2-3 years behind their grade level. By the time they graduate in 8th grade, our students are prepared to on to area private and college preparatory high schools.   Nativity’s educational support for vulnerable youth in Rochester is critical in today’s world to provide equal opportunities to unlock the potential that exists within each student. Nativity makes private school education available to students who would not otherwise have the opportunity to attend. All our students qualify for free- or reduced- price lunch. At no tuition cost to families, Nativity’s educational program is designed to empower vulnerable youth in our community to be supported in education for grades 5-8, the high school years that follow, and into college (4+4+4 program).   Nativity relies 100% on donations to support this program. Unlike a charter school, Nativity does not receive any taxpayer support. Unlike other Catholic and private schools, Nativity does not charge or receive any tuition revenue. Each family pays only an activity fee of $250 per school year.   Our goal is to transform our student’s lives through education and ensure their success throughout their academic career. Our extended school day, summer program, and graduate support program are the cornerstone of students’ success at Nativity Preparatory Academy. Providing students with more contact hours per year than other schools, extended learning allows students to spend more time focusing on tasks and gives them more opportunities to explore their interests and increase their understanding of a broad range of topics. We are excited to share with you a special opportunity to make a lasting impact on Nativity, its students, and the environment. Our "Going Green Initiative" is in full swing, and we are inviting you to join us in this meaningful journey by contributing to our composting and recycling program. By doing so, you'll be supporting not just our school, but also the planet we all call home. Every donation will help us reduce our carbon footprint, teach our students about environmental stewardship, and create a sustainable future for our community. Join us and together, we can nurture a greener, cleaner, and brighter future for all. Our goal is to raise $5,000 for this initiative which will help us with the supplies and education needed for recycling and composting and more green initiatives at Nativity this school year.
