The Colony Caregivers

The Colony Caregivers is the only TNVR organization working in Ontario County to control the feral, stray and abandoned cat population. Since 2009 we have spayed/neutered and vaccinated approximately 8,000 cats as well as provide much needed medical assistance to the sick and injured. The vets we usually work with are still not providing this service for us but January-November we still managed to have over 670 cats spayed/neutered, vaccinated and treated for fleas/parasites. Our list of clients seeking help to control the cat population continues to grow each year. We raise money through Rummage Sales, Chicken BBQ's, Candy Sales, Food Drives and the generosity of individuals within the community. Luckily, we were able to have 3 fundraisers this year, but the cost of spay/neuter increases each year. Our small core of volunteers works diligently to trap and transport cats to spay/neuter clinics. TNVR is the only proven method to be effective in controlling the feral, stray and abandoned cat population and give them a healthier life.
