Honeoye Falls-Mendon Volunteer Ambulance

Honeoye Falls - Mendon Volunteer Ambulance, Inc., is a public safety and health care organization whose mission is: • To provide timely, professional, pre-hospital emergency medical care and transport that is of the highest quality, administered with skill, compassion and dignity to all who require such service within the municipal and mutual aid areas served; • To coordinate and direct pre-hospital care resources and operations in the event of a medical emergency or disaster, and maintain a constant state of readiness for such occurrences at all times; • To provide all such services without regard to a patients' sex, race, color, creed, national origin, gender preference, political views, ability to pay, or any other characteristic provided by law. HFMVA serves a population of approximately 9,000 residents in a 64 square-mile district, covering 1,100-1,200 requests for emergency services each year. In addition to providing in-district EMS coverage, HFMVA regularly responds to mutual-aid calls with Fire and EMS agencies in Lima, Pittsford, Rush, Victor-Farmington, Henrietta, Avon, East Bloomfield and other surrounding municipalities. HFMVA's advanced life support (ALS) units are also available to respond throughout Monroe, Livingston and Ontario counties. The majority of our dedicated volunteers work at full-time jobs to support their families before they come into the agency and selflessly donate another twelve more hours to protect their neighbors and provide pre-hospital emergency medical services to the community. HFMVA has the highest percentage response rate per call in Monroe County. We proudly cover 99.8% of our calls, very rarely requiring assistance from any other agencies, . The economic down-turn has affected all volunteer agencies, and although our agency has worked hard to update and replace essential equipment while remaining frugal, we have found it difficult to find the funding to do so, especially with the rising costs of medical equipment and supplies, which are of course our first priority. Our agency would be forever grateful if you will help us with a donation to support these dedicated volunteers who give so much of themselves to make our community a safer and better place for our families to live and prosper. Thank you.
